As long as you don’t cause any damage to your hair by making any of the mistakes above, your hair will grow exactly as normal

Hair extensions will leave your hair damaged, broken, and extremely thin.

With clip-in hair extensions it is absolutely safe as they don’t pull out your hair because you take them out whenever you are not in need of them, and only wear them when you want to enhance the length and thickness of your hair. If clipped in properly, clip-in hair extensions cause absolutely no damage to your hair.

Well it depends on how well you are maintaining your hair extensions. On average, and if you’re taking good care of them, tape-ins last up to six to eight weeks, glue-ins last four to eight weeks, and protein-bonded extensions last six to eight weeks.

The only kind of extensions that last up to a year are clip-ins, since you’re not wearing them every single day

The hair extension tracks can be seen.

No. If they are clipped in properly, these hair extensions will not be visible at all, even if you move around a lot! Just have a look on the before & after picture below

The simple trick is to clip them in your ‘safe’ zone, below your eyebrow line, and have enough hair to cover the wefts.

Hair Extensions Myth #6:

Extra hair will weigh you down and give you headaches.

As you are you are clipping something into your hair, it is natural to feel something on but you will get used to it in no time.

And also it depends on how many hair extension pieces are you wearing. Some wear 3 to 4 hair pieces in order to make it volume full but the ideal suggested number of hair extensions that you can wear is 1 to 2.

This again depends on the nature & condition of your hair.

Hair extensions tangle and are high maintenance.

This is the biggest joke. Clip-in hair extensions do not need professional salon care at all! You can take good care of your set yourself, just as you would with your own hair.

As hair extensions aren’t attached to your scalp, they don’t get oily – and therefore, they don’t even need to be washed that often. They only need to be washed every 15-20 wears when there is a significant build up of hairspray or other hair products.

Of course, all hair extensions – and hair, for that matter – are prone to some tangling. The extent to which the hair tangles depends on the quality of the hair extensions and also how well you take care of them.

If the extensions are made of synthetic hair and are Original, there should be minimal tangling that occurs naturally.

If your own hair is prone to tangling, then it may naturally cause the extensions to tangle with it – but as long as you brush the hair out periodically, just like you would with your own hair, this should not be an issue at all.
